I did got up at 4 like I planned, but was extremely exhausted this morning. I let myself get some extra sleep today, and got up with just enough time to get ready for work. I started out the morning with some leftover Kodiak protein pancakes from the other day. They taste pretty good and ingredient wise don’t seem to terrible for you, Im not a nutritionist by any means, just my opinion. I had a decent day at work, but semi short, just over 8 hours. I ran into a crazy looking moth at a site today, Ill post a picture below, it was huge!
Afterwork I made it to the gym, and got in my lifting day. (I still need to do planks, and calf raises, I had to hurry home, my wife had to show some houses. Ill get them done though) I had a good workout, but I definitely felt weird after doing my main exercises, squats, dead lift, and bench. I had to take some extra rest between sets, my stomach felt weird and I was kind of short of breath, its hard to describe, I just didn’t feel right. I made it thorough though, making sure I was good as I went. I had a banana right before I worked out, I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it, I’d say 90% of my exercises have been on an empty stomach. Ill definitely keep an eye on this as I go. I showered at the gym, because I was trying to get a hair cut in before my wife had to show houses, but that didn’t work out. Anyways though in the mirror before I showered I noticed some big positive changes in my body. I looked pretty muscular, Its probably because it was right after I worked out, either way it was a huge motivator.
The rest of this week into next will be pretty challenging to get my workouts in. My wife is going out of town with her sister for her sister’s 25th Birthday. I will have baby sitters for during the day for work, but will probably not be able to get them for longer.(which is totally understandable, the kids can be a lot) This is ok, I will be taking the kids on lots of walks then, and using some body weight stuff while she is away, then start back up when she’s back in town. The workout I’m doing has 4-3 week phases to it, so I may start the pre-phase over when she gets back. There are triggering sessions you are supposed to do on your off days 3 times a day, and I have not been consistent about those. Ill just keep active and get back to it once my wife’s back in town.
Oh and dinner was a reheat of some food from last week, cooked in bone broth and a tablespoon or so of Kerry Gold grass fed butter, it tasted amazing.
Well I hope everyone has a great week and works towards their goals!
If you are getting anything out of this blog (entertainment, motivation, encouragement, feeling smart because I write like a 3rd grader) can you please do me a huge favor and share it in anyway possible. There should be some easy share buttons down below, or tell someone who you think it could help. I would appreciate it so much.
